April Ludwig, LMFT
A critical member of business practices in behavioral health and social services, April has served for over 20 years within communities where disparities and accessibility are prevalent. She is an industry leader who integrates practice improvement techniques with systems restructuring. As a consultant, April facilitates limited to long-term projects which are focused on high-end quality results. Her work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist has given her the advantage of understanding the value of assessment, evaluation, and action-oriented planning. Through organizational work as a Chief Compliance Officer, April’s oversight has included compliance towards federal and state privacy laws, national accreditation standards, contract regulatory requirements, policies and procedures,
and risk prevention and risk mitigation. Additionally, April is an Adjunct Professor where she has more than 15 years of instructing undergraduate and graduate students in Human Services and Counseling/Clinical Practices.
April is a 2022 Sacramento Business Journal’s C-Suite award recipient for her outstanding professional performance and commitment to the community. April serves as the Board President for A Different Path, a community service provider that utilizes trauma-informed practices to treat trauma behaviors that are primarily related to racial disparities and lack of access to services. She is also a Clinical Supervisor for the Race and Gender Equity (RAGE) Project, a Black led, people of color driven organization rooted in healing justice and human rights framework. April has completed an extensive review of the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) standards, with the goal to advance health equity, improve quality of life, and eliminate health care disparities.
